Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. is rooted in traditions. We have a hand sign and a traditional call. We do not step, but we do salute and stroll. Saluting is a means by which members praise a particular member within their organization or to honor the organization's past and current accomplishments. Members write the salute and it is common to include pieces of modern-day songs. A salute is performed with each member standing behind the other and all its movements are synchronized.

Strolling is a tradition that traces back to the early 1900's to Black Greek organizations and is a tradition practiced by many organizations to this day. Also known as party-walking, it consists of members lining up one behind another. They then perform a choreographed stroll to a certain song.
