The Centre Gallery invites students, faculty, staff and alumni to view “BookMarks,” an exhibition co-curated by Wendy Dickinson and Patrick Lindhardt hosting Dee Hood, Joseph Loccisano, and Steven Strenk. The collaborative exhibition will be shown in the gallery from now until Friday, October 15 and will feature a collection of book arts created using traditional and non-traditional printmaking methods, as well as an array of materials spanning from cloth, leather, wood, to ceramics, paper, and found objects. An opening reception will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, October 8. The Centre Gallery is located on the second floor of the Marshall Student Center. It is free and open to the public. Certified Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Zack White, will be in the campus recreation center on Wednesdays from 5pm-7pm answering any questions you may have about injuries, rehabilitation, or treatment options. No appointment needed just drop by the table anytime between 5pm and 7pm. Can't make it on Wednesdays, then drop by REC 005 on Thursdays between 5:15 and 5:45 for rehab basics, a class designed to teach rehab techniques that can be done in the gym.
Campus recreation aquatics offers private lessons similar to personal training. Meet on a one on one basis to get the instruction you need to improve your strokes. All of our instructors are American Red Cross certified and many have strong background in competitive swimming. This event is inspired by the idea that you can't truly understand the experiences of others until you walked a mile in their shoes. Men from the University of South Florida and the surrounding community will show their solidarity in ending rape, sexual assault and gender violence by putting on women’s shoes and marching around campus. Men and women will march side by side around campus to illustrate to the community that we are ready to make a change and put an end to these acts of violence.
